More “Recollection” inspired art, because I can draw whatever I want ;P
This is like, my 100th time fixing this stupid drawing, and I deleted the other one because it was making me really mad at midnight before I went to bed. Changed the shading, made Once-ler skinnier, fixed his pants and what-not. At this point, I really can’t fix it anymore, since my layers all merged somehow. But oh well.
I suck at drawing shippy stuff, but it’s all good. They’re still just friends in the story at this point anyways c:

Haven’t drawn Recollection Norma in a while, so here. Lyrics are “Merry Happy” by Kate Nash, because I think they fit her really well. But that’s just me ffu. Also decided to include the version without text for funsies c:

Gosh, one of things I absolutely adore about this portrayal of Norma is how realistic she can be. Sure, she’s based off a character in a Dr. Seuss movie. But oh man, she can be child-like one minute and then snarky the next. Confident and somewhat full of herself and then she’ll turn into an insecure bundle of self-doubt. It works so well with her.
And, her relationship with Once-ler is so bittersweet. They care about each other, but you know that their friendship is going to end on a bad note. I just love how awkward they are together, too. Oh, and I like how they’re basically both oblivious as hell to the fact that they like each other, but everyone else basically knows it. It’s too cute dshjsaSzdjnh. Just seriously, I love this fanfic so much it’s ridiculous. I definitely need to draw more fanart for it.

Is it sad that I’m writing this really long one-shot that involves a young Norma traveling around by herself that’s based on “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” and other random Seuss stories?

Decided to go with something, idk, not happy? I don’t know the correct word to describe it. I dunno. I just like the theme of loneliness/being alone that kind of pops up in the story every now and then and that even though Norma has a friend, she’s still kind of isolated and still feels lonely deep down inside? Idk, I’m weird.
Also, I think I just really wanted to draw something to go along with the Dr. Seuss quote, because for some reason I just really like it. Also tried doing eyes from the page the quote is one, but I’m terrible at trying to draw in Seuss style D:
This drawing took way longer than expected :/ Half of it was because I couldn’t figure out what to do with this, and the other half was because I was caught up watching streams, but oh well. It’s done now c:
My headcanon voice for young Norma always ends up being Kristin Chenoweth. I mean, it totally doesn’t fit with Betty White’s voice, but dammit, I always imagine her having this squeaky little speaking voice and this really pretty singing voice.

Uhm, I guess I kinda-sorta consider this not so great lol fanart for the lovely Alirica/Alyric’s fanfiction “Recollection”? Tried basing it off of Chapter 16, in which Norma visits Once-ler at work in this little cafe (even though that background probably suggests otherwise ffu) and is slightly irritating. Idk, I just thought the chapter was cute c:
Anyways, I don’t think this came out, too, too, bad. I mean, I’m not exactly great with backgrounds, and this is the first time I’ve actually decided to do one lol. Oh well, always room for improvement, I guess *shrug*
Also, I think this was just an excuse to draw Norma with a long coat, durr. Her colors remind me of strawberry lemonade x3
